A treatise on magic, astrologyand divination, including prayers, invocations, powerful names and crudesketches of figures or radiant faces surrounded by pseudo-letters, and largesections of leaves divided into compartments filled with text, symbols, numerals.
Decorations (full-page):
f.1v Two ladies standing in afrontal pose, dressed in identical fashion, with similar features and elongatedmoustaches.
f.93r Two columns painted verylight yellow. The outer column is empty, the inner column contains the full-frontalfigure of a cleric wearing an Armenian celibate priest's headgear (veghar),holding the staff of a vardapet.
f.149r The page is divided intocompartments of differing sizes, all blank except for the lower right-handcolumn, which contains a line-drawing of the full-frontal figure of a childwearing a garment divided into eight horizontal lines filled with Arabicnumerals.
f.175r A male figure with asquarish head, pointed hat and cylindrical body. Two magical beasts adorn thesides of the body.
f.178r A line drawing of ahuman figure with hand outstretched and legs apart. The physical parts of theanatomy are inscribed in Arabic.
f.179r Two ladies drawn inthick black ink, unpainted, separated by two snakes.
