Title:

Monthly home cash accounts of the Secretary of State

Scope & Content:

Manuscript draft accounts, showing the total transactions in each month under each head of account, and the cumulative totals from the beginning of the financial year. Receipts and expenditure on behalf of both the Central and Provincial Governments are included. Accounts of a similar nature before 1938 appear in the Journals.

Monthly accounts ceased on 31 August 1955, when disbursements on behalf of the Government of India ceased.
