- 'L'Enfant prodigue', opera in 5 acts, libretto by Eugene Scribe. Originally in French. Mostly printed. Published by Brandus et cie, Paris. Plate numbers 8730, 8731, 8737. The full score is of Act 4 and 5 only, and the first three acts have been cut from the instrumental parts (sewn up, etc). The names of singers and players are written on the front of many of the parts. First performed at the Paris Opéra, 6 December 1850. Announced at Covent Garden for 1851, but not given. ('Daily News', 11 June 1851). First performed in London at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, 19 February 1851, in an English language version entitled 'Azael, the Prodigal'. First performed at Her Majesty's Theatre, in Italian as 'Il Prodigo', on 12 June 1851.
