Rotographs of manuscripts of Chaucer's 'Canterbury Tales', collected by Professors J. M. Manly and Edith Rickert for their work The Text of the Canterbury Tales, 1940, in which an account of the history of the collection is given in vol. i, pp. 1-9. Presented by the University of Chicago. The MSS. are fully described op. cit., vol. i, pp. 29-544 and the rotographs of them are arranged in the order adopted by Manly and Rickert, (each MS. being accompanied by the symbol given to it in the above work).
Rotographs were not received of items 4, 12, 19, 24 and 79 (viz.:-Brit. Mus., Add. MS. 10340; Chetham MS. 6709; Oxford, Bodl. Lib., MS. Douce D. 4; Huntington Library MS. El. 26. c. 9 and Brit. Mus., Sloane MS. 1009).
