Max Stafford-Clark Papers - supplement 1. Vols. i-v. Diaries; 1999–2004. There is a break in the sequence between November 2000 and September 2001; accounted for by an entry on 30 September 2001 which states that 'overnight there is a robbery at GC [Gloucester Crescent, Stafford-Clark's residence] and . . . diary, journal . . . are stolen' (Add. 84848). There are also overlaps between May and August 2002, covered in Add. 84050, and accounted for by an entry by Stafford-Clark in Add. 84049, p. 118, 'this journal was stolen by Ann Sunday 5th May and restored Saturday 6th July. Intervening period in #36A. Resumed 19th August 2002.', and between October and November 2002, accounted for by a note by Stafford-Clark Add. 84051. p. 1, 'book stolen again'.
