Letters (6) to T. J. Wise from R. A. Hellewell, H. F. B. Brett-Smith, Montague Summers, and D. Nichol Smith; 10 Jan. 1926- 25 Oct. 1930. The letters chiefly concern the proposed sale to Wise of a copy of John Dryden, The Life of St Ignatius, 1686 (B697), the bibliography of John Dryden, Miscellaneous Essays, 1692 (B699), State of Innocence, 1677, The Conquest of Granada, 1681, and Satyr upon the Dutch, 1662 (B700), and Wise's copy of Sir George Etherege, The Comical Revenge, 1664 (B709), while those from Nichol Smith (B705) thank Wise for his invitation to contribute an introduction to one of the volumes of the Ashley Catalogue, send him a copy of the writer's Dryden Poetry and Prose, 1925, and discuss Robert Landor's supposed authorship of Guy's Porridge Pot, 1808.
