Letters (4) from Richard Curle to T. J. Wise; 3 Oct. 1923-12 July 1930. The letters were chiefly written to accompany copies of various works sent by Curle to Wise, that is to say Joseph Conrad, The "Torrens". A Personal Tribute, 1923 (3 Oct. 1923), Joseph Conrad's Diary of His Journey up the Valley of the Congo in 1890, edited by Curle, 1926 (20 March 1926), Two Essays on Conrad by John Galsworthy With the Story of a Remarkable Friendship By Richard Curle, 1930 (12 July 1930), and A Handlist of the Various Books, Pamphlets, Prefaces, Notes, Articles, Reviews and Letters Written About Joseph Conrad By Richard Curle 1911-1931, 1932 (17 Feb. 1932), but also mentioned are £10 sent by Curle to Wise with the insistence that he should pay for proof sheets of Conrad's Nostromo given to him by Wise, and the indebtedness of Borys Conrad, Joseph Conrad's son (20 March 1926), and the timing of the sale at the American Art Association of items belonging to Wise in Curle's keeping and Curle's progress with his novel 'Corruption' (published 1933) (17 Feb. 1932).
