'BIBLIOTHECA LAMONIANA ab illustrissimo Guillelmo [Guillaume de Lamoignon, Marquis de Basville, d. 1677] posita et instructa, ab illustrissimo Christiano Fr[ancisco, d. 1709] aucta et ornata; mdclxxxi, ab illustrissimo domino Adr[iano] Baillet' [librarian to the younger Lamoignon and tutor to his son]: a subject-catalogue of the library (which was not dispersed till 1789) in twenty-one tomi, each, as a rule, representing one letter of the alphabet. Bound in thirty-five volumes. The catalogue itself (vol. i, f 47) is preceded by (a) 'Synopsis bibliothecae Lamonianae', explaining the press-marks, &c. f. 2;-(b) Preface, in which the librarian speaks of an authors' catalogue to follow, if his tutorial duties permit. f. 21;-(c) 'Parænesis sive adhortatio protreptica', by Chrétien François to his six-year-old son Chrétien. f 30.
