GENERAL Correspondence of Thomas Pelham, of Stanmer, who succeeded, on the death of his cousin, the Duke of Newcastle, in 1768, as 6th Baronet, and 2nd Baron Pelham of Stanmer; was M.P. for Sussex, 1754, 1761, 1768; a Lord of Trade and Plantations, 1754; Lord of the Admiralty, 1761-1763; Comptroller of the Household, 1765-1774; Keeper of the Great Wardrobe, 1775-1782; was created Earl of Chichester, 23 June, 1801; and died 8 Jan. 1805. The correspondence, including some letters to Lady Chichester, extends f rom 1746 to 1812. Four volumes.
