Both produced and currently unproduced works arranged in alphabetical order by genre in the order: stage works; television; film; books; radio; sketches and monologues; short stories. The stage section concludes with material relating to the publication of the collected plays of Peter Nichols. For each work, the order of material is as follows: preparatory materials; notes; draft pages; complete drafts; script changes; correspondence relating to performances; miscellaneous. General notes on ideas for incomplete works, followed by material relating to individual incomplete projects are arranged at the end of this section in alphabetical order of works by genre as above. Particulars of the first published edition of works are included under their respective titles. There are also two volumes of collected plays. The first of these exists in two editions of differing contents but with the same title; references to this volume will therefore be followed by the date of the edition, 1987 or 1991. There has been one edition of the second volume, published in 1991.
