This collection of 11 volumes contains the commentary by Jacques Despars (b. c. 1380, d. 1458), regent master of medicine at the University of Paris, on Books 1 (fen I-IV), 3, and 4 (only fen I) of the medical summa by Ibn Sīnā, Abú 'Ali Al-Husain ibn 'Abd Allah (Avicenna) (d. 1037), in the Latin translation by Gerardus Cremonensis (Gerard of Cremona) (c.1113/4-1187).
