The first four volumes were prepared for the press and provided with title pages in the above form, dated 1879, 1880, 1881, 1882. Each volume has a separate introduction, that in Vol. I being the printed paper as in the Reports of .... the Associated Architectural Societies, xiv, p. 231. The drawings are in pencil with a light wash of colour. The arrangement is by types of ornament, but Vols. I-IV have indexes of places. Vol. V was not finally arranged by the collector, but an arrangement conformable to that of the other volumes has been adopted. Place names will be found in the Index. Ff. 115, 163, 160, 170, 144.
