Title:

CHISWICK PRESS PAPERS. Vols. CXXX-CXLII. Sales Ledgers denoted as 'Sales Books No:s 1-8', 'Journal', 'Day Books 8, 9', unnumbered 'Day Book', 'Sold Journal No: 3'; 1919-1954. Until 1931 letterpress work was done at Took's Court, and thereafter at Brunswick Park Road, New Southgate, N.11, while collotype and lithographic work was done at Hanover Street, Peckham, S.E.11, until 1927 and from 1928 until 1962, when this works closed, at New Southgate. Separate ledgers, distinguished below, were generally kept for each type of work. Some ledgers are missing from the series. The accounts are arranged chronologically by months, and within each month are generally grouped by client. Each volume is preceded by an index of clients, except for 50937 and 50938, but indexes to individual works and monthly summaries no longer appear.
