CHISWICK PRESS PAPERS. Vols. CXLVI-CL. Debit and Credit Ledgers, entitled 'Private Ledgers', of the firm of Emery Walker (Ltd., from 1912), engravers and printers, founded in 1886 as Walker and Boutall, from mid 1900 to mid 1904 Walker and Cockerell, taken over in 1937 by the Chiswick Press; 1886-1932. The volume for 1900-1906, covering the period when Sir Sidney Cockerell was a partner in the firm, is not now in the collection. On their partnership, see W. J. W. Blunt, Cockerell, 1964, especially pp. 78-80. Sir Emery Walker's letters to Cockerell are now in Add. MS. 52758. Balance sheets at the end of 50944 are signed by Walker on f. 116b, 1887, and by William Boutall on ff. 116b-119b, 1887-1890.
Five volumes. 50945 has a brown calf binding and the other ledgers green vellum bindings. As follows:
