The series includes recorded songs. The items in the present collection are of various origin and content: some collect the songs brought out by a single company; others compile songs from various sources, and represent a different motive, whereby print publishers are seeking to exploit the interest in recorded music. It also includes collection of songs originated in the theatre, and only secondarily routed through the gramophone record.
