- Description: This collection is mostly based on islam-related subjects namely: the Qur'an, Exegesis of the Qur'an, Hadiths(tradition of the Prophet), Prayer on the Prophet, life of the Prophet, Theology, Preaching and sermons, Jurisprudence, Praise, invocation and Soufism. However, a good number of the manuscripts deal with Esoterics while others are on Philology, Astronomy, Astrology and History. Arabic is the main language of this collection even though some manuscripts are written in some local languages with arabic scripts. Extent and format of original material: 115 paper manuscripts . Physical Characteristics: Paper manuscript, often with leather cover, some illuminations, some pages missing, others mended by stitching, some water and termite damages.
