These bound volumes contain baptismal information on people that the church classified as "whites". All racial designations were inexact and contextually dependent assignation. In general, anyone born of white parents, whether on the Iberian peninsula, in Cuba, or elsewhere, was categorised as "white". The most important social designation, next to race, was whether a person was of legitiate or illegitmate birth. Entries generally contain information on place or birth, godparentage, and names of parents, when known. Some volumes are missing.
