Scope & Content:

Handwritten book of the general budget of the Lima Insane Asylum for the years 1860 to 1874 and 1885 to 1890. In this series it is possible to find the projection costs for basic hospital services, staff fees and food for patients. The back cover of the book contains information on the folio of extraordinary expenses for the years 1872 and 1873. The title page of the book bears the following title: General Budget of the Hospital "Misericordia".

Libro manuscrito del presupuesto general del Manicomio de Lima que corresponde a los años 1860 a 1874 y de 1885 a 1890. En esta serie se puede encontrar los gastos de proyección en los servicios básicos del hospital, los honorarios del personal y la alimentación de los pacientes. En la contraportada del libro se registra información con respecto al foliado de los gastos extraordinarios de los años 1872 y 1873. La portada del libro presenta el siguiente título: Presupuesto General del Hospital de Misericordia.

Extent: 1 volume containing 480 folios.

Size and dimensions of original material: 43,5cm x 30cm x 3,4cm.

Condition of original material: Foxing. The support has caves produced by insects.

Custodial history: The digital images in this collection were created as part of the EAP1402 "Digitisation of 19th century documents from the Manicomio del Cercado, Lima, Peru". The original material from the now hosted by the Víctor Larco Herrera Hospital’s Museum.
