Women's Information was the first magazine dedicated to womens issues published Tehran. This magazine was first published on April 1, 1957 in Tehran with the imprint owner and managing director was Abass Masoudi. Published by the Itla’at newspaper during the reign of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, the magazine published articles on celebrities, the royal family, health, beauty, family relationships, education, women's rights, and other topics related to women’s issues.. This magazine in the early years was edited by Iraj Mustaan ​​and in 80 pages. In 1338 and 1339, the circulation of the magazine reached an unprecedented record of 45,000 copies. In the 1940s, the magazine organized journalism classes and two-year journalism courses to encourage women to work as journalists. This magazine in1960-1961 founded an association called the Association of Maidens and Women, founded by Iraj Mustaan, Pari Abasilti, and Hushang Mirhashim, which helped prepare young girls and women to participate the work force. The association provided social, educational, cultural, charitable and sports activities spicificaly for women. Lady Peri Abaslati was elected as the editor of the magazine. This magazine was closed in By the Islamic republic of Iran 1978. In 1980 it was again puplished under new ownership and edited by Zahra Rahnavard.

طلاعات بانوان نخستین مجله منتشر شده ویژه بانوان در تهران بود. این مجله اولین بار در ۱۲ فروردین ۱۳۳۶ در تهران با صاحب امتیازی و مدیر مسیولی عباس مسعودی به چاپ رسید. این مجله که به وسیلهٔ روزنامه اطلاعات دردوران حکومت محمدرضا پهلوی منتشر می‌شد، مطالبی در مورد سلبریتی‌ها، خانواده سلطنتی، سلامتی، زیبایی، روابط خانوادگی، آموزش، حقوق زنان و دیگر مباحث مربوط به زنان منتشر می‌کرد. این مجله در سال‌های ابتدایی با سردبیری ایرج مستعان و در ۸۰ صفحه به فروش می‌رسید. در سال‌های ۱۳۳۸ و ۱۳۳۹ تیراژ مجله به رکورد بی‌سابقه ۴۵ هزار نسخه رسید. این مجله در دهه ۱۳۴۰ برای تشویق زنان به کار روزنامه‌نگاری، کلاس‌های روزنامه‌نگاری و دوره‌های ۲ ساله خبرنگاری برگزار کرد. این مجله در سال‌های ۱۳۳۹–۱۳۴۰ انجمنی به نام انجمن دوشیزگان و بانوان تأسیس کرد‍ توسط ایرج مستعان، پری اباصلتی و هوشنگ میرهاشم که به آماده کردن دختران و زن‌های جوان برای شرکت در کارهای اجتماعی کمک می‌کرد. این انجمن فعالیت‌های اجتماعی، آموزشی، فرهنگی، خیریه و ورزشی در حوزه زنان داشت. در سال ۱۳۴۷ بانو پری اباصلتی به سردبیری مجله برگزیده شد. این مجله در سال ۱۳۵۷ بسته شد اما در سال ۱۳۵۹ دوباره تحت سردبیری زهرا رهنورد چاپ شد.
