- Partly typewritten, partly autograph correspondence, mostly letters sent to Hughes relating to the translation of his work, with some printed enclosures. In some letters the correspondents ask for permission to publish their translations whilst others have textual queries or ask about his career. The letters are from the following individuals - Doce, Jordi (8ff.); Duranti, Riccardo (6ff.); Frankfurter Verlagsanstalt (2ff.); Guillot, Claude (1f.); Kaussen, Jutta and Wolfgang (38ff.); Moulin, Joanny (7ff.); Stella, Maria (34ff., 1 booklet and 1 volume); Ursing, Gun (and David Harry) (1f.); Založba publishing (1f.) A German translation of the poem, 'Pike' (Hecht) by Richard Pietrass (6ff.) is also included.
