- Letters to the Secret Committee of the EIC Court of Directors and (after 1858) to the Secretary of State for India. These volumes were formerly included in G/29 Persia and Persian Gulf Factory Records, but since they originally formed part of the archives of the Secret Department of the Board of Control and the India Office, they have been restored to the Political and Secret Records. L/PS/9/80-93 also contain letters from Baghdad, Basra, Egypt, Damascus etc; L/PS/9/94 comprises memoranda on various subjects by Sir Henry Willock, Sir Gore Ouseley, Mr Ellis et al. L/PS/9/95-120 also contain letters from Baghdad, Bushire, Aden, Egypt, Damascus, Erzerum, Constantinople, Kabul, Herat etc.
