This set of correspondence was assembled by Messrs Quaritch when offering the archive for sale and includes letters to Lee from personal friends, personal correspondence from business contacts, and letters from well-known persons. Most of the more formal business correspondence has been extracted and placed in Add MS 88936/4/19-20 although some requests to Lee from personal friends to write or participate in other projects are retained here.
