- There is a gap in the records of Civil Pension payments between 1931-1940. From 1940 onwards the Civil Pension books also contain records of the payment of Civil Annuities. It should be noted that Civil Pensions paid to retired Burma civil servants between 1942-1968 are recorded in a separate series, L/AG/28. The series L/AG/21/9 relates to payments made in the UK/Europe only. There are no payment books for Civil Pensions paid in India, Pakistan or Burma.
