- Administrative Context:
- Up to March 1920, the pension accounts of members of the Indian Ecclesiastical Establishment were included in the books of Regular Officers' Pensions (L/AG/21/11), Medical Pensions (L/AG/21/15). Thereafter, payments were made by the High Commissioner of India and from March 1926 the payments are included in the books of civil annuities (L/AG/21/8). There are no payment books extant for the period, Apr 1931 to 1940. Records of payment of Ecclesiastical Service pensions for Apr 1940-Oct 1967 are to be found in L/AG/21/9/53-150.
