- Other records of wills, inventories, probates and letters of administration and adjustments of estates earlier than those in the following lists, are contained in the volumes of Proceedings of the Bengal, Madras and Bombay Governments (see the Lists of Proceedings). Index to wills and administrations which are not in the Accountant General's records: request Z/L/AG/34/2 for Bengal 1710-1779; Madras 1736-1779; Bombay 1723-1779. The preface of the above volume provides a key to their location. Another similar index will be found in volume 792 of the Home Miscellaneous Series (H/792). Volume 23 of Factory Records (G/23) contains a further series of wills, probates, inventories and accounts of sales of effects covering the period from 1618 to 1728.
