- These papers contain home and overseas correspondence of Messrs Lawford and Waterhouse, Solicitors, of Draper's Hall, London EC, who acted both for the East India Company and the India Office. The correspondence relates to Indian estates which from a legal point of view presented some difficulty or complexity. In addition to the correspondence there are newspaper advertisements seeking claimants to estates. The papers are arranged alphabetically in separate bundles.
