Many of the retained carbon copies have partially typewritten drafts of Wertenbaker’s plays on the verso. Wertenbaker was a member of the Advisory Panel on Drama and the Theatre Writing Committee for the Arts Council from 1989 until her resignation in March 1993. She was invited in 1989 to sit on the English National Opera’s Contemporary Opera Studio Steering Group.
