Walpole Papers. Vols. cclii-cclxiv. Diplomatic and foreign papers of Walpole; general series; some were originally enclosed with despatches in the series above, but separated by Coxe or others; a number, however, seem to be duplicates of enclosures in despatches sent by or to, or forwarded to, Walpole; a few similar items may be found as enclosures in the correspondence series above; some originals are included, however, with a few covering letters. Other papers are drafts, including draft treaties and treaty extracts, despatches or parts of despatches and a few accounts relating to Walpole's diplomatic expenses. Some papers are in Walpole's hand, or annotated by him. Some papers are annotated by Coxe, and others in another later hand. A few papers relate to the congresses arranged in the french sexction.
