The first item in Add. 69065 is a letter from Voltaire to an unidentified correspondent, 2 Jan. 1757, concerning the Byng affair. The correspondence for 1788 to 1805 was almost entirely taken out of the main part of the Dropmore correspondence by J. W. F[ortescue], 30 July 1905.
