Three volumes. Included are letters from George Canning, Foreign Secretary, Sir Arthur Wellesley [Viscount Wellington Sept. 1809], John Hookham Frere, whom Lord Wellesley superseded as Ambassador Extraordinary, John Charles Villiers, Envoy to Portugal, Maj. Colin Campbell, who gives an account of the Battle of Talavera (I., f. 165), and others, with copies, etc., of correspondence with Martin de Garay, Spanish Secretary of State, and (in Nov. 1809) with his successor Francesco de Saavedra. Some of the letters are printed in The Despatches and Correspondence of the Marquess Wellesley...as Ambassador to the Supreme Junta in 1809, ed. M. Martin, 1838. Paper. Folio.
