The biographies are in no order, but there is an alphabetical index at the end of each volume (except in 47119, 47122-47124). The English biographies were used by Andrew Kippis for the 2nd edition of Biographia Britannica, 1789, see vol. iv, p. viii. A related index of names is in Add. MS. 47047, ff. 46b-64 (rev.).
