Correspondence of Prince and Princess Lieven with, and relating to, their sons, chiefly Paul and Constantine; Vol. CLXXXVII, 1815-1826; Vol. CLXXXVIII, 1827-1839, n.d. English, French, German, Polish and Russian. 47407 includes correspondence concerning their sons' education, partly with Dr. George Butler, Headmaster of Harrow School, 1816-1819. 47408 relates mainly to Constantine's career in the Russian Army, but also includes (ff. 76-93 passim) material relating to the Lievens' younger sons, Arthur and George, who both died in 1835. At f. 132 is an act of division, in Russian, 1839, of Prince Lieven's property between his widow and their sons, Paul and Alexander.
