The writings in this sub-series cover a variety of different genres such as programme notes, biographical pieces and broadcasting scripts. Most of the writings in MS Mus. 1755/2/1, MS Mus. 1755/2/2 and MS Mus. 1755/2/3 are typescripts, many of which have been annotated by Bradshaw. Where printed material appeared amongst the typescripts, it has been left (in order to preserve the original placement by the archive's creator).
Originally, MS Mus. 1755/2/1 and MS Mus. 1755/2/2 entered the British Library in a large bundle, much of which was organised alphabetically by subject except for a smaller bundle of mixed topics which had no discernible order. This smaller bundle has been grouped into very broad themes created by the cataloguer, and is now housed and listed in MS Mus. 1755/2/3.
