- The Turkish Arabia subject files relate to the internal politics and foreign relations of the state of Iraq. The files contain correspondence concerning attacks by Kurdish tribal forces against the British after the invasion of 1917, a copy of the Anglo-Iraq Treaty of 1926, a discussion concerning the activities of 'anti-British' Persian clerics (mujathids) in Iraq and detailed correspondence regarding the military coup of 1936. Much of this correspondence is from the British Embassy in Baghdad to the Foreign Office in London (with the Political Residency at Bushire copied in).

The references of the surviving files show the likely gaps in the series.
