The minerals sub-sub-series discusses deposits of gypsum and red oxide on the islands of Ḩālūl Abū Mūsā, Şīr Bū Nu‘ayr, Dalmā, and Şīr Banī Yās in the Persian Gulf.
The main focus of the correspondence are the red oxide concessions held by the Golden Valley Ochre and Oxide Mining Company at Bu Musa [Abū Mūsā] and Sir Abu Na'air [Şīr Bū Nu‘ayr]; and its potential interest in concessions at Dalmah [Dalmā], and Sir Beni Yas [Şīr Banī Yās].
