The 31 files forming the 'Medical' subject files were produced by the Political Agency in Bahrain.
The 'Medical' subject files mainly contain correspondence between personnel of the Victoria Memorial Hospital at Bahrain, the Adviser to the Government at Bahrain, the Political Resident in the Persian Gulf, and the Political Agent at Bahrain.
The main subjects are:
- outbreaks of cholera, smallpox and malaria in Bahrain and in other Persian Gulf countries: propaganda, prevention, statistics and quarantine restrictions;
