The sub-sub series IOR/R/15/6/414-422 comprises correspondence relating to slavery and the slave trade in the Persian Gulf. Much of the correspondence is between the Political Agent, Muscat and the Political Resident in the Persian Gulf. Topics discussed include statistics in relation to applications for manumission, reports of the League of Nations and procedures for the search of dhows suspected of engaging in the slave trade.
