The Government Property sub-sub-series contains files and volumes that discuss issues concerning buildings, land (including cemeteries) and other property owned by the British Government inside the borders of the Sultanate of Muscat and Oman.
The majority of the correspondence in these files is internal correspondence between British officials, but some of the files also contain a limited amount of correspondence between the Political Agency in Muscat and external entities including officials of the Sultanate of Muscat and Oman and individuals in Gwadur [Gwadar]. The latter is in Arabic and Urdu, accompanied by English language translations.
The final file in the sub-sub-series (IOR/R/15/6/463) relates to the potential development of the fishing industry in the Sultanate and was likely included as a result of misfiling.
