Partly typewritten, partly autograph correspondence and enclosures exchanged between Hughes, his siblings, father and children as follows - Frieda (and spouses) (20ff and 8 photographs); Gerald and Joan (8ff.); Nicholas (Nick) (3ff.); Olwyn (9ff.); and William, (21ff.). Also includes a letter sent between Edith Hughes (Ted Hughes's mother) and Olwyn (dated 22 September 1963), another sent to William Hughes by Gerald (dated 6 April 1980); and 5 photographs and a series of sketches (some of which are photocopies) drawn by Gerald Hughes.
