- This series which extends from 1837 to 1859 contains drafts of outward home letters from East India House, on commercial and financial topics, mainly those for which the prior approval of a Committee of the Court of Directors was necessary. The topics covered include bills of exchange, letters of credit, loan property, India bonds, hypothecated goods, insurance etc. The series consists almost entirely of Secretary's Letters and the draft numbers at the top of each page correspond with the duplicate copies in the general series of Homeward Letters Out (Miscellanies) E/1.
