TRUMBULL PAPERS. Vols. CCXLIX-CCLII. Correspondence of John Bridges with Trumbull, and letters to his widow Lady Judith, and son William Trumbull junior; 1686-1723. Many of Trumbull's letters between 1711 and 1713 are originals, perhaps returned after the death of the recipient. John Bridges (1666-1723) was Trumbull's nephew (son of his sister Elizabeth and brother of Ralph Bridges; see Add. 72494-72497 and 72515 below); he held the posts of solicitor and (1712) commissioner of the Customs, and after Trumbull's death became the county historian of Northamptonshire.
