Papers relating to the Treaty of Hanover, etc., apparently gathered together by Walpole from various parts of his archive, in the event of Fleury's proposal that the British alliance with France be renewed; together with the resulting paper: "Considerations upon the expediency of renewing a particular allegeance with france Decbre 22 1737"; with at least one other later, though connected, paper. Included are copies and extract copies of 17 - 18 centt. treaties and despatches, papers, pamphlet extracts and notes by Walpole and others, including Coxe; copied in several hands, including Walpole's; some papers are numbered, and several are marked as being duplicates; at least one is annotated as coming from the Orford papers; together with some pencil speech notes; left in their original order;
