English and French. 47361-47365 consist of copies made for Princess Lieven, presumably when she gave her correspondence with Lord Grey to the Duke of Sutherland: see the preface to G. Le Strange, Correspondence of Princess Lieven and Earl Grey, 1890, vols. i, pp. vii-xvi, iii, pp. v-vi. The printed work includes a large proportion of the letters which appear in 47361-47365 and a few of the original letters in 47360. For other copies of letters from Lord Grey, see 47356 A, ff. 45, 58, 61, 70, 79, 111, and 47356 B, ff. 154-157. Several of the letters were also published in French by Count A. de Nesselrode in Lettres et papiers du Chancelier Comte de Nesselrode 1760-1850, vii, 1908, pp. 177, 178, 232. Eight volumes.
