- Typescripts of and correspondence and papers relating to Greene's The Tenth man, developed from a sketch for a film plot in 1937 for Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, and then expanded to form a novel in 1945, and submitted to Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer in that form. On the script's being offered for sale by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer in 1983, Greene acquired a copy and had it published by The Bodley Head and Anthony Blond in 1985, with an introduction, which included the outline of a story entitled ‘Jim Braddon and the war criminal’ and of a story entitled ‘Nobody to blame’, which was later expanded into the novel Our man in Havana.
