- Title:
- M J T Tambimuttu: Notebook
- Scope & Content:
- Notebook containing various notes and entries. The principal entries are: 'Josephian in Bloomsbury' (a contribution in draft for the Jubilee issue of Blue & White, the magazine of St Joseph's College, Colombo, Sri Lanka, where Tambimuttu was educated, which celebrated its Jubilee in 1946), and an undated article in draft about the artist Alfred Wallis (St Ives) written subsequent to his death in 1942. A reference to Tambimuttu's Introduction to the anthology Sailing Tomorrow's Seas, ed Maurice Lindsay (1944), provides another indication of dating. The notebook includes some material written by a young child (Julia), including a note to 'Dear Jacque'. Approximately 75% of the pages have not been used. Most entries are in pencil.
