(7) f. 90, Payment of Annuity to the Guardians of Thomas Aldworth's children 1632. (8) ff. 91-141, Copy of Confirmation to Endymion Porter, William Courten, Thomas Kynaston, Samuel Bonnell, Capt. Thomas Weddell and Nathaniel Mountney in (?) 1637 of the privileges granted in 1635 to Sir William Courten, Capt. John Weddell and Nathaniel Mountney, with special right to use a particular seal (f. 104 (a)) and the Union flag (f. 107 (b)); for voyaging to Goa, Malabar and the coasts of China and Japan, with a free pardon for all offences and misdemeanors committed during the life of Sir William Courten. (9) f. 199, Order of Commons Committee of Examinations for delivery of prisoners to the Officer of the Admiralty.
Material originating in the Accountant-General's Department, now in these volumes:
- f. 2, Account of cloth, kerseys, etc. purchased for the Eighth voyage, Sep 1610-Mar 1611;
- f. 9, State of account in the Indies of the Third, Fifth and Eleventh voyages reduced all into one, viz. the Eleventh. Written c. 1613-1614 and stated to have been taken from a book commenced by Thomas Stevens, the Company's accountant. Includes amounts of goods sent to and from Bantam and Succanada.
- f. 24, An abstract of the stock and trade ventured by the Governors and Company of Merchants of London trading to East India, begun in 1601 and continued to 1619. This is a summary only of the amounts received from adventurers in each of the years, the amounts sent out in victuals, goods and money, the amounts paid as subsidies to the Crown, the numbers of ships sent out, remained in the East, returned to England or were lost. A printed copy is in the List of Marine Records (1896), pi.ix.
- f. 26, List of adventurers in arrears with their payments to the Second Joint Stock, Christmas 1620.
- f. 30, Statement of the balances of the First and Second Joint Stocks, May 1621. Prepared by Mr Lenman, a bookkeeper and later Chief Accountant of the Company, but possibly not in his handwriting. Records the total amount subscribed for the First Joint Stock and the total capital of the second stock.
- f. 32, Estimate of the First and Second Joint Stocks, their debts and assets, 31 May 1621.
- f. 34, Balance of the books of interest, May 1621.
- f. 62, Balance of the ledger of interest, Mar 1622. Two documents in the same handwriting and obviously connected. Extracts from a lost account, recording ledger page numbers. Each contains a list of holders of stock or those who lent money at interest.
- f. 70, List of adventurers in arrears with their payments to the Second Joint Stock, Jun 1624;
- f. 156, Profit and Loss account of the Second Joint Stock. Includes particulars of Pepper bought and sold for account of First and Second Joint Stocks 1615-1629, c. 1640.
