- (1) pp. 1-9, Abstract of the Tanjore Deed. (2) pp. 11-37, Agreement concluded 11th Feb. 1824 between the East India Company and various persons claiming to be creditors of Amir Singh, late Raja of Tanjore. The creditors to be paid by Bonds issued by the Madras Government for the amount of their loans with interest at 4 per cent. up to 30th April 1823, the Company paying 4 per cent. upon the Bonds from that date. (If paid in Europe the Exchange was to be reckoned at 2s. 1d. per Sicca Rupee.) Sir Benjamin Hobhouse, Thomas Cockburn, and Sir Harry Inglis to be Commissioners in England to examine into the validity of claims, the Governor-General of India to appoint three Bengal Civil Servants to act as such in Madras.
