(2) pp. 47-53, Memorandum as to the Customs, being a Summary of the Papers contained in the Collection from p. 701 to p. 805. (It is not clear what Collection is referred to.) Memorandum.--"The whole of the Duty leviable on the Import and Export Trade of Calcutta by sea is 3 1/2 per cent., viz. 2 1/2 per cent. Government Customs and 1 per cent. for defraying the expense of the Bombay Marine. This last is paid on all Imports and Exports whatever except Money and Bullion whether on Goods imported for re exportation or internal consumption."
