William Scott to the Governor-General 22nd May to 18th Oct. 1800. (8) pp. 745-835, Correspondence between Lord Wellesley and the Court of Directors 7th March 1800 to 23rd Feb. 1803. Martin does not include Wellesley's letter of 7th March 1800, but does those of 28th Sept. 1800 (II, p. 573), 13th Nov. 1801 (II, p. 795) and 14th Nov. 1801 (II, p. 605), the last of which forwarded the Treaty concluded with the Nabob Vizier by Mr. Henry Wellesley and Lieut.-Col. William Scott. The Marquis' employment of his brother in this business was much resented by the Company's servants. (9) p. 799, Statement of the Jumma (135 lakhs of Sicca Rupees) of the Countries ceded to the Company by the Vizier under the Treaty. (For the Draft Treaty, see pp. 210-34 and 265-77 of this volume.)
