- (1) pp. 1-201, Proceedings of the Supreme Council relative to the establishment of a Botanical Garden on the site of the old Fort of Mackwa Tannah at Calcutta 21st Aug. 1786 to 6th March 1788, proposed by Lieut.-Col. Robert Kyd in his letter of 15th April 1786 as a means towards the prevention of Famine and consequent Pestilence by the introduction of foreign Food plants and Trees such as the Sago and Date palms, in the same way as La Bourdounais saved the inhabitants of Bourbon and Mauritius from the constant threat of Famine by the introduction of the Manioc root. Includes Minutes and Correspondence by Sir John Macpherson (Governor-General), William Bruere, John Shore (Board of Revenue), John White (Sub-Secretary, Bengal), Jonathan Duncan (Preparer of Records, Revenue Department), John Kinloch (Collector of Burdwan), G. C. Meyer (Assistant Preparer of Records), Arthur Molony (Collector of Government Customs), Edward Hay (Secretary, Bengal), and Council of Supracargoes at Canton. (2) pp. 79-84, An apparently futile protest by Col. Kyd against the tyranny and cruelty exercised by the officials at the Customs Chokeys 6th April 1787.
